Moving Mountains?!

I have often wondered what Jesus meant when He said in Matthew 17:20 "You don't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." I mean, literally, if you had that kind of faith then nothing would be impossible. But, I have never seen a mountain moved from "here to there," nor have I ever heard a story of it happening. Things here have been quite different, to say the least, than we were led to expect. I was walking down the sidewalk the other day thinking about this verse. I told God, "I just don't get it!" And then the revelation came, "Logan, the mountain is right in front of you. The obstacles you and Liz face right now are stacked as high as a mountain." I agreed!

That mountain may not be:
"a natural elevation of the earth's surface rising more or less
abruptly to a summit, and attaining an altitude greater than
that of a hill, usually greater than 2000 ft. (610 m)."
(Dictionary.com)

But a:
"A huge heap of something in your way"
(Logan)

We have been given faith as a catalyst to move "mountains" in our way, that we may continue forward unhindered in the direction God has called us.

Caution: "Moving Mountains" may cause earthquakes.

Finally Photos : )

Some of the EFL students took us out to see Belem for the first time. We have an opportunity to build some really cool relationships with some really cool people :)

Liz and I had an opportunity to speak at a local church (through a translator). It was amazing and we were able to set up some future contacts for Kingdom Growth! Can't wait to hit the streets in that neighbor for Evangelism!

Well here go the Brazilian Hillbillies!!! :)

The Amazon River Trip

Small cabin - BIG Hearts

The River People of the Amazon spend their lives in primitive areas (along the river) in the Amazon River Basin. These people spend most of their time and resources trying to survive. Here are a few photos of them paddling out to our boat in hopes somebody will throw something to them that will help them to live another day!

More to come! Stay Tuned :)
